What is Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises?

Micro, small, medium enterprises is business which is classified as micro, small, medium on the basis of investment in followings Machinery & equipment.

1.Plant & machinery for manufacturing , production, processing or prevention of the goods or employing plant & machinery in the process of producing final product having separate name or characters or use. ( i.e. manufacture sector )

2.Equipments for enterprises engaged in providing or rendering services. (services sector)

Limit of Investment in Plant & Machinery and Equipment for Manufacturing and Services Sector.

1.If investment does not exceeds 1 crore rupees and Annual turnover is not more than 5 crore rupees, Enterprise will considered as micro enterprises

2.If investment is more than 1 crore but not more than 10 crore rupees,and Annual turnover up to 50 crore rupees.Enterprise will be considered as small enterprises.

3.If investment not more than 50 Crore. rupees, but does not exceed 250 crore  rupees. Enterprise will be considered as medium enterprises
